Why Is This Happening For<\/em> Me?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you ever had one of those days where things just don\u2019t go as planned? You\u2019re excited and hopeful\u2014maybe for an event, a special day, or something you\u2019ve been looking forward to\u2014only for it to veer off course. It\u2019s not a total disaster, but it\u2019s definitely not the amazing moment you had imagined.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly what happened to me this weekend. I had been looking forward to it, only to find myself dealing with frustration and disappointment when things didn\u2019t turn out as I\u2019d hoped. At first, I caught myself thinking, \u201cWhy is this happening to me? This isn\u2019t fair!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

But then, I stopped and shifted my perspective.<\/p>\n

What if I asked myself, \u201cWhy is this happening FOR me?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This simple change of words completely reframed the situation. It reminded me that even when things don\u2019t go according to my plan, there\u2019s always a reason behind them. Sometimes, the reason isn\u2019t clear in the moment, but trusting that it\u2019s there can turn frustration into curiosity\u2014and curiosity into peace.<\/p>\n

I believe that God has a purpose for everything we experience. It may not be what we wanted, and it may not even make sense right away, but it\u2019s not random. Life\u2019s detours often teach us something valuable or prepare us for something we never saw coming.<\/p>\n

Shifting from \u201cWhy me?\u201d<\/em> to \u201cWhat\u2019s the lesson here?\u201d<\/em> or \u201cHow is this happening for me?\u201d<\/em> does something incredible: it pulls us out of a victim mindset. Instead of feeling like life is happening to<\/em> us, we become open to the idea that it\u2019s happening for<\/em> us.<\/p>\n

This perspective shift can lift your mood, keep your spirits high, and help you approach challenges with resilience and grace. When you lean into curiosity and hope, it\u2019s easier to move forward and trust that good things are coming\u2014even if the path isn\u2019t what you expected.<\/p>\n
